The Terms and Conditions contained herein on this Website Dashboard (the "NovaSight") shall govern your use of this System, including all pages to which you may be redirected. These terms apply in full force and effect to your use of this System. Your personal data, whenever provided within the System, shall be processed and shall be governed by the provisions of Republic Act No. 10173, or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA), and all other applicable laws. Whenever used herein, "NovaSight" shall mean the Researchers and Developers responsible for the creation and maintenance of the NovaSight application, in coordination with Bataan Peninsula State University.

By logging into the System, you warrant that you are a duly authorized BPSU personnel member, granted access by MISO on behalf of your assigned role. NovaSight may, at its sole discretion, request additional or supporting verification to confirm such authority. You also warrant that all information you supply or upload, including any academic dataset submitted through the System, is verified, true, and correct to the best of your knowledge.

Through registration and by having access to the System, you hereby warrant that the System shall only be used for the following purposes:

• Accessing academic performance dashboards and predictive analytics for your assigned college, department, or area of responsibility.
• Uploading official academic grade-sheet datasets for processing, limited to authorized Academic Affairs and MISO accounts.
• Viewing dropout-risk indicators, GWA trends, enrollment forecasts, and other decision-support insights generated by the System's machine learning models.
• Managing your own account profile, password, and related account settings.
• Any other academic reporting or decision-support function related to student performance monitoring offered by the NovaSight.

NovaSight is an internal academic prediction system built for Bataan Peninsula State University staff. It is not a public registration service, accounts are created only by MISO for verified BPSU personnel. This policy covers both those account holders and anyone browsing the public, no-login pages of the site (such as this one).

Account information, for every staff account MISO creates: first name, last name, middle initial/suffix (if provided), BPSU account email, a securely hashed password (never stored in plain text), assigned role, and an optional profile picture. This information identifies real staff members and is used solely to operate their account within the system.

Uploaded academic datasets, submitted only by Academic Affairs and MISO accounts, which power every prediction and dashboard in the system. On every dashboard, individual student records are shown only by an anonymized student ID (never by name) so no student identity is exposed to deans, Registrar, or SASO through the dashboards themselves. The original uploaded files are retained on secured Database , accessible only to the same MISO/Academic Affairs roles authorized to upload them in the first place, for record keeping and to allow re-processing if needed.

Session data: a single authentication cookie that keeps you signed in. It is not used for tracking, does not follow you across other sites, and carries no advertising or analytics identifiers, because NovaSight does not run any analytics, tracking, or advertising scripts of any kind.

Uploaded profile pictures are re-processed on upload, decoded, stripped of any embedded file metadata, and re-saved as a clean image before being stored, so no hidden metadata from the original file (such as device or location information some images carry) is retained.

Account information is used only to operate the system: authenticating logins, displaying who uploaded a dataset for audit purposes, and personalizing each account's profile. Uploaded academic data is used only to generate the predictions, trends, and dashboards NovaSight was built to provide. NovaSight does not sell, rent, or share any information collected here with third parties, and does not use it for any purpose beyond operating the system for BPSU.

NovaSight's predictions are built to help flag student cohorts who may benefit from additional academic support. They are not a performance score for any college, department, or dean, and information collected through this system is never used to rank or compare colleges against one another.

• Passwords are never stored in plain text only a one-way secure hash.
• Student records are referenced only by an anonymized ID on every dashboard, never by name.
• Login sessions are transmitted only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
• Access to uploading academic data and to the admin account-management tools is restricted by role, most accounts can only view dashboards, not modify data or other users.
• Regular backups are kept so academic records and account data are not lost to a technical failure.

Account and academic dataset records are retained for as long as needed to support BPSU's academic reporting and record-keeping requirements. Deactivated ("archived") accounts are retained rather than immediately erased, so historical audit trails (such as who uploaded a given dataset) remain intact. If you wish to have your account deactivated, please contact the BPSU MISO.

Account holders can update their profile picture and password at any time from their Profile page. For any other change, correcting account details, deactivating an account, or questions about what information is held. please contact the BPSU MISO.

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change accordingly. Significant changes will be communicated to account holders directly where practical.
